Coghlan Castle Plate
Coghlan Castle, the only Castle in ND, is located southeast of
St. John. Built in 1904, it is a 40 x 50 native stone two story
structure, featuring a round turret. It is listed as one of North
Dakota's Most Endangered properties. The collectible plate is
Royal Blue Chateau, made by Tidemark Co. Each plate is signed
and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Proceeds of the
purchase will benefit the restoration of the property.

Candles at Canaan: Signs of Life in a Lonesome
Land 2-CD audio set
"Candles at Canaan" is a collection of "Plains Folk" radio
essays heard on Prairie Public. Their author, Tom Isern, a lifelong
resident of the Great Plains, is professor of history at North
Dakota State University. His pal Bob Groves, who provides the musical
interludes between the essays, is professor of music at North Dakota
State University. Isern is the author or co-author of six books
about life on the plains.

STONE CHURCH: A Prairie Parable

Stone Church is the story of early Swedish settlers constructing
a house of worship in the harsh environment of northern North Dakota.
The book tells how a small community of immigrant farmers gathered
in a tiny one room schoolhouse to form a congregation, and then
later decided to build “a mighty fortress” on the prairie.
Proceeds from the book’s sales are donated to a fund for
preserving and maintaining the Church.
