International Border Crossing Regulations

You will not need to pass through customs upon entering the International Peace Garden, but you will need to go through customs each time you leave.

Passport: In order to cross the border as of January 31, 2008 you need a US or Canadian Passport, a US Passport Card (Available Spring 2008), Enhanced Tribal Card, or US Military Identification with travel orders.

Two Document Option: If you do not have one of these, a valid driver's license or ID card issued by a federal, state, provincial, county, territory or municipal authority along with a US or Canadian birth certificate, certificate of Naturalization, certificate of Citizenship, or Citizenship card issued by one of the above is the Two Document Option.
