The Legacy Award is presented annually by Preservation North Dakota for exceptional achievement in preserving the historical, architectural and cultural environment of North Dakota. Individuals who have made significant contributions to furthering preservation may be nominated to receive recognition. Areas of achievement in historic preservation may include: architectural restoration, organizational development, research and writing, or publication of works concerning areas of historic preservation. The accomplishments of the individual honored should serve as an example of exceptional merit for others.
Nominations must be submitted by PDF form or online
form. PDF submissions must be typed, and must include written, printed
and photographic documentation as supporting evidence. A minimum of four color
slides is required. Documentation materials will not be returned. The selection
of the awards is made by the Preservation North Dakota Awards Committee.
Nominations must be received by September 15.
